Overview

Tastify POS is designed for high-volume dine-in, takeaway, and delivery operations. Staff see menu items, table status, and queue state in one interface — no switching between apps.

Layout & navigation

tl;drThree purpose-built tabs let staff switch between browsing the menu, viewing the floor plan, and managing the waitlist without leaving the POS.

Three-tab interface

The POS is divided into Menu, Seatmap, and Queue tabs. Each tab is optimized for its workflow — browse and add items, view and assign tables, or manage the waitlist.

Menu & modifiers

tl;drTap an item to open a modifier dialog with single-select, multi-select, quantity controls, and notes — all in one sheet.

Each menu item supports single-select and multi-select modifier groups. When a staff member taps an item, a modifier dialog appears with all available options, quantity controls, and an optional note field.

Modifier types

—Single-select modifiers (e.g. temperature, doneness)
—Multi-select modifiers (e.g. toppings, extras)
—Per-item notes for special requests

Cart & order types

tl;drThe cart sidebar shows the current order with quantities, modifiers, and running totals. Three order types handle different workflows.

Staff can adjust quantities, remove items, or add notes before submitting. The order type determines the payment flow:

—Dine-in: "Send to Kitchen" without upfront payment — orders auto-confirm and appear on KDS immediately
—Takeaway & delivery: pay at creation with selectable payment methods
—Optional prepayment requirement for dine-in (configurable per tenant)
—Coupon validation and loyalty point lookup at checkout

Payment & checkout

tl;drMulti-payment support with cash calculator, card, mobile (QR), and voucher. Split bills and partial payments are built in.

Checkout Bill flow

The Checkout Bill flow supports multiple payment methods on a single order. A cash calculator overlay helps staff make change quickly. Plan-gated payment methods show lock icons when unavailable.

Integration points

tl;drThe POS connects to every other Tastify module — orders flow to the kitchen, tables update in real time, and loyalty points are earned automatically.

Every module shares the same backend, so changes propagate instantly:

—Kitchen Display — orders appear on KDS within 10 seconds of submission
—Queue — seat customers directly from the waitlist via the POS Queue tab
—Seatmap — real-time table status with session QR codes and per-seat occupancy
—Loyalty — phone-based member lookup, points earning, and reward redemption
